ECS/ProcessExpert® v9 offers enhanced cement plant optimisation with self-adaptive control, cloud-based insights, and advanced performance monitoring, improving production, reducing energy use, and supporting sustainability. Our latest ECS/ProcessExpert® advanced process control solution brings together a range of cutting-edge technologies to deliver cement plant optimisation well beyond what was possible with previous incarnations of the software.
Designed by our team of cement process experts, the ECS/ProcessExpert v9 update comprises a sophisticated toolbox of specialised application modules to continuously analyse and optimise process conditions, while providing key insights to improve decision-making and highlight opportunities for improvements.

What’s new in v9?
The ECS/ProcessExpert v9 software includes several new features:
Self-adaptive control: delivered in collaboration with Lin and Associates, the new self-adaptive controller enhances responsiveness to changing process dynamics to deliver even greater performance benefits. The result? Large-scale improvements including up to 7 per cent increase in production, up to 7 per cent reduction in fuel/energy consumption, and up to 2 per cent reduction in CO2 emissions.
New Cloud-based PXP Insights module: brings the ECS/ProcessExpert analysis and insights to the Cloud, allowing enterprise-level benchmarking of plant/equipment performance. Dedicated sustainability dashboards also provide global visibility of CO2 savings achieved by the software.
Control-loop performance monitoring: identifies underperforming control loops and diagnoses problems for corrective action. This ensures precise and efficient control of the main process parameters, making sure the greatest levels of optimisation are identified and delivered.

Next-generation process control
“ECS/ProcessExpert v9 reflects the next-generation of advanced process control for the cement industry,” said Dinesh Sampath, global product manager for process optimisation. “Delivering unparallelled process stability, optimised productivity, and more effective management of disruption, this update also provides powerful support for the cement industry’s green transition.”

The v9 update is available now as an upgrade to existing ECS/ProcessExpert software, as well as to replace third-party control systems.
