The right excavator for solid foundations, the Yanmar SV26 mini-excavator convinced with its performance and versatility when constructing a factory hall in Dresden, Germany.

The SV26, a short tail swing 2.6 t mini-excavator of Yanmar Construction Equipment Europe S.A.S. (Yanmar CEE), supported the construction of a new factory hall for the company Rovak GmbH, an expert in vacuum technology. In the future, the building will accommodate big vacuum chambers and serve as a site for mechanical activities such as welding. The construction company Carsten Jehmlich used the high-performance mini excavator SV26 with various attachments: ditch-cleaning bucket, 20- and 30-centimetre digging bucket and gripper.

First, it excavated the foundations with a digging bucket of 50 centimetres and it was then used with a ditch-cleaning bucket for levelling the layers of gravel coating. The use of a tiltable bucket, which enables perfect adjustment and positioning, is perfect to flatten uneven grounds.

Besides working on the foundations, the mini-excavator dug the trenches for the entire sluice system with a digging bucket of 30 centimetres. Since the drain pipes were supposed to be laid only half a metre below the surface, the 30-centimetre bucket was the right choice. The SV26 has high stability due to its long undercarriage. Therefore, it could work safely and efficiently while standing above the trench. The excavator further convinces operators with its large working radius, good visibility as well as great ease of operation ‘ all these features were highly appreciated by Carsten Jehmlich construction company.

Carsten Jehmlich has been relying on the expertise and service of the Yanmar dealer SK Baumaschinen for many years ‘ also, when acquiring the SV26. The company is very satisfied with the SV26. It is perfect for all excavating works up to 3 meters deep and it effortlessly manages to load medium sized trucks up to 7.5 tons. Thanks to the good service of SK Baumaschinen, the SV26 could be used with even more flexibility.

SK Baumaschinen has been a Yanmar dealer since 2014. The company offers them high quality machines in the compact segment: mini- and midi-excavators, carriers and wheel loaders.
