It gives me great pleasure to announce that the 9th Indian Cement Review Conference and Awards and the 14th Cement Expo will be held on the 14-15th December 2023 at Manekshaw Centre in Delhi.

Along with participation of industry experts from across India as esteemed panellists, we will also welcome Ali Emir Adiguzel, Founder and Director of World Cement Association (WCA). As a global visionary and as our keynote speaker, he will address the challenges that the industry is facing and underscore the importance of ‘Driving Sustainability Through Technology,’ which is the theme of the Conference. The event will witness more than 100 exhibitors and over 5,000 visitors and delegates from the industry.

The 9th ICR Conference and Awards 2023 and the 14th Cement Expo is going to be bigger and better in more ways than one. This is in conjunction with the general drift of the industry as we are witnessing a seismic shift in trends. All the big players are focussing on increasing their capacity, with an estimated projection of 200 million tonnes of fresh capacity to be added in the coming years. Emphasis is also laid on being the lowest-cost cement producer in India. Dalmia Cement is aiming to achieve 110-130 million tonnes capacity per annum by 2031, while UltraTech has announced an investment of `13,000 crore to add production capacity by 21.9 million tonnes per annum. This will take its total capacity to 182 MTPA after completion. Considering this speed of expansion, the tug of competition and a buoyant demand from infrastructure and housing segments, the Indian cement sector is poised to take a
giant leap.
