Shree Cement has launched a new 3 MTPA grinding unit in Etah, Uttar Pradesh, with an investment of approximately Rs.850 crore, fully funded through internal accruals. This high-tech facility is set to become one of the region’s largest, boosting local development and generating over 500 direct and indirect jobs.
Strategically located near rail infrastructure, the plant enables efficient transport of raw materials from Rajasthan and streamlined cement dispatch through road and rail. It will fully utilise 5,000 tonnes of fly ash daily from the nearby Jawaharpur Thermal Power Plant, aligning with Shree Cement’s zero-waste operations model.
Equipped with cutting-edge German technology and advanced pollution control systems, the unit ensures minimal environmental impact. Innovations include an AI-driven Bag Counter System, laser-based Online Particle Size Analyser, and a pioneering Wagon Tippler System following the latest RDSO norms. Plans for a solar energy installation are also underway.
As part of its CSR, the company will support infrastructure and education initiatives in Nigoh Hasanpur village, impacting around 2,500 residents. Shree Cement remains a sustainability leader, offering eco-conscious building solutions through its Bangur product line, which includes Roofon, Powermax, Jungrodhak and Magna, among others.
