A project to integrate Coolbrook’s RotoDynamic HeaterTM (RDH) technology in one of UltraTech’s cement producing units will be developed in collaboration between Coolbrook and UltraTech Cement Limited, India’s leading cement and ready-mix concrete (RMC) manufacturer. This initiative is a component of UltraTech’s attempts to use state-of-the-art technological solutions to hasten the decarbonisation of company activities in accordance with its 2050 Net Zero promise. The usage of thermal energy derived from coal in the processes used to produce cement is anticipated to decrease with the successful application of the RDH technology. The project envisions using Coolbrook’s RDH technology to initially replace the use of fossil-fuel based energy in the drying of alternative fuels. The project’s lessons will be used to scale up the technology for deployment in the usage of cement production processes.

With over 5,400 AI data centres currently operating and numbers forecast to exceed 6,000 by 2027, the association cautions that regulatory hurdles and labour shortages may impact the industry’s ability to meet demand.
