The Build Ahead Coalition, a businessled partnership bringing together major industry players JLL, Godrej Construction, Lodha, JSW Cement, SED Fund, and Shell India, has been created by Xynteo,a purpose-driven advising firm. The goal of ‘Build Ahead’ is to bring together various Indian building industry players.
In order to help India reach its net-zero goals by 2070, partners include manufacturers, consumers, financiers, and technology providers who can speed up the usage of low carbon constructionmaterials. Build Ahead aims to increase the demand for low-carbon construction materials in order to lower embodied emissions. Forward-thinking corporate leaders in the Build Ahead Coalition will collaborate to help early movers and derisk investments in order to realise this vision. This will make it easier to access a variety of sources of enabling finance, which will aid in scaling new decarbonisation technologies.
