Mohammed Irfan Moosani of Moosani Marketing is a third-generation cement dealer, supplying cement within Hyderabad and Secundrabad cities. Established in 1957, the company deals in ACC, Penna, Bharathi, Dalmia, Bhavya and CCI. The largest selling cement from Moosani Marketing is ACC. When asked about how the volatility in prices affects him, he replied that it dents the profit margin. "Both blended cement and Ordinary Portland Cement (OPC) are in high demand, but the OPC sells more", replied Moosani, when asked about the customers preference for cement. His monthly dispatch is between 9,000 to 10,000 tonne. "We do not stock more in our warehouse, since the companies have more than two warehouses in the city," Moosani suggested for increasing sales the company should properly advertise, which will increase the visibility of their products, and in turn will help the company to be the number one brand in the market. Moosani has expectations from the manufacturers, which includes that the manufacturers should increase dealers’ margin and maintain a regular supply of stock. The stocks are picked up from the warehouse by the company and also by the retailers, replied Moosani "Increase in petrol/diesel prices does not affect profits," said Moosani. He is satisfied with the HDPE packing, but added that laminated paper bags/laminated bags results in more loading and unlaoding expenses. When asked about his reaction to budget, he replied, "There is no direct impact on consumers from the increase/decrease in excise/import duty. But the VAT percetage of 14.5 should be reduced".
