We started in 1986 at a time demand was very high and there were less number of brands. We operate from Kakinada where we cover fully and also cover part of East Godavari District. We are part of the newly formed Andhra Pradesh state. Demand right now is very low. We are poor state now, but people here are very enterprising and hardworking. Today competition in business is very high. Ramco is top selling brand for us. Delivery of cement is not a problem as we have a service godown nearby. My Home cement is another brand we sell.
Our customers are a mix of individual house builders, companies and contractors. I do not sell to builders because they ask for longer credits. I have been in this field for 25 years, but cement is different type of business. In other products, price is fixed first, but in cement, the price is decided after the sale happens. There is a lot of uncertainty. Business is less as compared to the last year. We have hopes on the new government. New capital and new companies are coming in. Next year should be good for us.
