We have been dealers in cement for the past 15 years and cater to the market of Nagpur. We deal with different brands: Jaypee Cement, Orient Cement, ACC, and the local brand Murli Industries. All brands have good sale, however, the local brand sells more compared to other brands as it is cheaper. We keep OPC 43, 53 and PPC grades, in which PPC sells more. We supply to retail as well as bulk customers. Out of the total sales, 10-15 per cent go to retail market while the remaining go to bulk market, to project developers and contractors. Our total sales per month is 1,000-1,200 tonne while we keep a one-time stock of 50-60 tonne. We get all support from cement companies as we are prompt in payment and we don?t keep debit balance with any companies. So we get good discounts in our deals with the cement companies. On the current market, I feel the market is down, however, with new projects are coming, there are chances for a better market in the near future.

TotalEnergies and Holcim have commissioned a floating solar power plant in Obourg, Belgium, built on a rehabilitated former chalk quarry that has been converted into a lake. The project has a generation capacity of 31 MW and produces around 30 GWh of renewable electricity annually, which will be used to power Holcim’s nearby industrial operations. The project is currently the largest floating solar installation in Europe dedicated entirely to industrial self-consumption. To ensure minimal impact on the surrounding landscape, more than 700 metres of horizontal directional drilling were used to connect the solar installation to the electrical substation. The project reflects ongoing collaboration between the two companies to support industrial decarbonisation through renewable energy solutions and innovative infrastructure development.
