Heidelberg Materials has signed an MoU with global consultancy Arup to advance decarbonisation in the built environment using carbon capture and storage (CCS) in cement and concrete. The partnership will focus on joint research and technical studies to explore CCS deployment across the value chain. This agreement builds on their initial collaboration from November 2024, which evaluated the potential and practicality of carbon-captured cement and concrete solutions.
