Jindal to spend Rs 100 billion to build 3 MT steel plant in AP

Jindal Steel & Power will spend Rs 10,000 crore to build a 3 million tonne per year steel plant in Andhra Pradesh. 10,000 new jobs will be created as a result of this.

The company is working on establishing a three million tonne steel plant near Krishnapatnam with an additional investment of more than Rs 100 billion in order to increase our investments in the state (AP). Additionally, this will directly and indirectly employ more than 10,000 people.

The company will sign an MoU with the government of Andhra Pradesh to invest in renewable energy projects like solar, wind, and hydro as well as to increase the capacity of its current cement plant.

The group will also build a slurry pipeline, an MSME park, and invest in a port in the state.
