At the Fulcrum Awards 2022, Ambuja Cements’ and ACC’s groundbreaking corporate sustainability campaign #ChangeTheStory received a Silver Award for Best use of Integrated Communications.
The campaign’s performance in three areas—Digital, Traditional Media, Community, and Advocacy—is recognised with this award. Together, Ambuja Cement and ACC have developed a distinctive platform that focuses on the country’s main cement producers’ efforts to remove plastic waste. 2,400 tonnes of plastic debris will be removed through this programme from the Mantola Canal in Agra. To clean up plastic waste from the water body, a similar technology has been used at the BBMB Lake in the Sundernagar neighbourhood of Mandi, Himachal Pradesh.
The collected plastic will be delivered to recycling facilities for additional processing. Thus, #ChangeTheStory has demonstrated how technologically supported sustainability initiatives can have a measurable, long-lasting impact on our environment.
