Lafarge France to invest €46 mn in cement factories

Lafarge France will invest €46 million in Saint-Pierre-la-Cour and La Malle to launch low-carbon and ultra-low-carbon cements.

Lafarge France has announced a total investment of €46 million in modifications to its 1.6Mt/yr Saint-Pierre-la-Cour cement factory in Mayenne and its 1.2Mt/yr La Malle cement plant in Bouches-du-Rhone. The Holcim subsidiary will spend €40 million to convert the Saint-Pierre-la-Cour facility to produce low-carbon cement. In the meantime, it will invest €6 million in the conversion of the La Malle plant to ultra-low carbon cement manufacturing.
