Nepal-based Rhiddhisiddhi Cement commences production

Nepal-based Rhiddhisiddhi Cement Industry has commenced cement production at its plant. During the start-up phase, The company will produce 20,000 bags/day of cement to start with, which will be ramped up to 60,000t/day.

The cement producer was established with NPR10.5bn (US$94m) of domestic capital and operates a cement works at Ratomate, Hetauda, Makwanpur. It employs around 300 people and uses European technology. It uses limestone from deposits in Rarksirang, Kaialsh in Makwanpur, as well as Nibuwatar of Bhimphedi and Shaktikhor of Chitwan and Udaypur.

The product is available in the market of Kathmandu, Biratnagar, Jhapa, Janakpur, Pokhara and Hetauda with the brand name of ‘Rhiddhisiddhi Cement’, Regional Sales Manager, Bikram Khatiwada, said.
