"BEING into the business since 11 years, I have learnt one thing that people who run their businesses with ethics seldom face problems," says Harshad Thakkar, Proprietor, Jalaram Jyot. The company deals with Tata Shudh Cement, which has its plant in Mithapur." The company has limited production thus we operate in the region of Kutch, Vidyanagar and Jamnagar. The biggest backing we get from Tata Shudh Cement is that they provide with a single bill and we get regular customers of precast users," Harshad says. He adds, "We stock OPC grade 53 and Tata Shudh Masonary Cement. The best part is that we face no delays or transportation problems since we have a couple of ports in our region also the road network is very good." Speaking on the challenges Harshad had this to say: "The cement business is extremely volatile and the margin is very less; also right now the markets are extremely slow, which has a major impact on our finances." According to him UltraTech is the largest selling cement brand in India. He sums up, " GST would enable us to expand our businesses in every nook and corner of the country and thus I personally favour same."
