Cement consumption in Spain reached 11 408 287 t by the end of 2015, 5.3% more than in 2014. This figure confirms the slowdown in annual growth. Exports have fallen by 4.4% in 2015, reaching 9 233 979 t, 422826 t less than in 2014. In 2016, Oficemen expects a moderate growth of 7%, which however can be adversely affected by political instability. In this sense, the cement sector points out that a country without infrastructure investment cannot remain competitive, even in the tourism sector. Adapted from press release by Joseph Green.
