The government will auction 10 coal blocks with extractable reserves of 356 million tonne to steel and cement companies. The auction process has begun with the government notifying the blocks for different sectors. The government will invite technical and financial bids for the mines and the last date for submission of the documents will be July 21. The auction will take place between August 11 and 17.
