The 11th edition of the Birla White YuvaRatna Awards, an annual event that recognises budding talent among architects and civil engineers, was held recently in Mumbai. The event was inaugurated by Rajashree Birla, Director, UltraTech Cement Ltd, in the presence of eminent architects and construction professionals from across India. The elite panel of jury members for the Awards comprised leading architects including Niraj Doshi, Avinash Dahanukar, Praveen Bavadekar and Sagar Pankhaniya.
Organised by Birla White (the white cement brand of UltraTech Cement), the theme for this year?s Awards was ?A skill based learning environment with sustainability?.
The first edition of the Awards held in 2004 received an overwhelming response. Every passing year has seen an increase in both the quantity and quality of the entries, with this year witnessing 937 drawings from 87 institutes across India.
