For its best safety systems Ambuja Cements has recently won the gold award in the ‘large’ category of the Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FICCI) Safety Excellence System Awards 2012.The award’s objective is to encourage manufacturers to adopt best safety practices and build robust safety systems in their organisation.Considering the excellence of the safety systems at ACL’s integrated Chandrapur plant, the Maratha Cement Works, the award was given at the FICCI awards ceremony in New Delhi and presented to the representatives of the plant’s staff.
CEO of Ambuja Cements Ajay Kapur said that the company is delighted at receiving the award from the FICCI Safety Excellence Systems. Needless to say, this award further reiterates the high regard ACL holds for following and maintaining the safety norms that are reinforced in all our 13 units across the country.The award judged 115 manufacturers from across the country representing industrial sectors such as automotive, electronics, heavy engineering, textiles, cement and steel, among others.
