Jailesh Dalal is the Director of Jaycee Buildcon and has been in the business since last 25 years. He is based in Mumbai but operates all over India. According to him, the largest selling brand is Ambuja Cements. He sells OPC for RMC plants and PPC/slag for onsite applications. The proportion of institutional/builders to retail sales is 70:30. Dalal does not stock cement as direct supplies are made by the companies to end-users based on their orders. He says that he gets all techno-commercial support from cement companies in all respects. The deliveries from cement companies are mostly on time barring some unavoidable occasions. According to Dalal, GST will bring in a lot of change in interstate movement of cement and all companies will try to tap their nearest markets as all companies would get a level playing field.
