Cement production in May 2012 was lower at 16.20 mn tonnes as compared to 16.01 mn tonnes in April 2012. However, cement production in May 2012 was higher than May 2011 production of 14.27 mn tonnes. Cement despatches for Mayl 2012 were higher at 16.26 mn tonnes as compared to 15.50 mn tonnes in April 2012. But the despatches for May 2012 were higher than despatches of 14.20 mn tonnes in May 2011.
