Capacity expansion will be accorded prime importance by JK Lakshmi Cement in the next financial year, as per a report by the Wall Street Journal.The company has earmarked an expenditure amount of USD 386 million for expansion of its production capacity in the next financial year. The company’s current production capacity is pegged at 4.8 mt and is expected to rise to 5.3 mt by the end of the current fiscal year. The capacity is planned to be expanded by JK Lakshmi Cement to 8-9 mt by the end of the next financial year, stated Vinita Singhania, Managing director, JK Lakshmi Cement.A new cement plant is currently under construction by JK Lakshmi Cement in central India which is in plans to start operations in Q4 of 2013.
