Holcim Malaysia is optimistic that its new green cement range will augment its sales and profit in 2012.Located at Pasir Gudang, Johor, Malaysia, the company has secured the eco-label certification from Sirim, making the company Malaysia’s first cement manufacturer. The company’s CEO Mahanama Ralapanawa stated that the company’s sales and profit growth will be driven by greater operational efficiencies and an increased focus on giving solutions through a value-added approach.The company was known formerly as Tenggara Cement in 1985 and was acquired by Swiss based Holcim in 1999. It became a wholly owned subsidiary the following year.
