Fornnax has partnered with RPM Automotive Group Limited to revolutionise tyre recycling in Australia. In 2024, RPM integrated Fornnax’s high-capacity SR-200 HD primary shredder into its state-of-the-art recycling facility, enhancing efficiency and the quality of recycled output. This collaboration reflects RPM’s strong environmental commitment and positions Fornnax as a leader in sustainable recycling solutions. RPM currently processes over 180 tonnes of tyres weekly, with plans to exceed 300 tonnes, aiming to capture 5 per cent of the national recycling market. Leveraging its distribution network, RPM expects to recycle 54,000 tonnes of end-of-life tyres over five years.
Recycled materials will support road infrastructure and industrial fuel needs, addressing Australia’s tyre waste challenge following the 2021 export ban. Jignesh Kundaria, CEO, Fornnax, emphasised the global urgency of tyre waste solutions and the company’s dedication to circular economy practices. This project marks a vital step in reducing landfill dependence and driving innovation in sustainable waste management.
