Martin Engineering has launched the Martin® X-Stand, a heavy-duty mounting system designed to improve the safety, accessibility, and efficiency of air cannon installations in industrial environments. Built to withstand harsh conditions, the rugged steel cube frame keeps air cannons away from hot or hazardous areas while offering clear walkways and easy maintenance. The X-Stand fits 35L, 70L and 150L air cannons and can be stacked or arranged flexibly to suit various plant layouts. It supports Martin® Hurricane and Typhoon models, with convenient features like open sides, solenoid box mounting, and easy access to attachments and flanges.
Used in cement plants, steel mills, and bulk material operations, the X-Stand helps prevent downtime by allowing safer, more efficient placement of air cannons without compromising performance. Field tests showed operators could access cannons more easily, redirect piping safely, and perform maintenance with minimal disruption. The system also supports hard piping, reducing maintenance needs compared to mesh tubing. By improving layout and access, the X-Stand enhances workplace safety and operational continuity.
