JK Cement marked a significant milestone with the ‘bhoomi pujan’ ceremony for its new grey cement grinding unit in Buxar, Bihar. The foundation stone was laid by Dr Nidhipati Singhania, Vice Chairman, Madhavkrishna Singhania, Joint Managing Director and CEO, and other senior officials.
With a proposed capacity of 3.00 mtpa, the unit aims to meet Bihar’s growing demand for premium cement while supporting the region’s infrastructural and economic growth. The `5 billion investment forms part of JK Cement’s strategy to strengthen its footprint in Eastern India and achieve a national production capacity of over 30 mtpa by next year. “This project reflects our commitment to innovation, quality, and regional development,” stated Dr Singhania, Managing Director, JK Cement. This facility underscores JK Cement’s pivotal role in Bihar’s infrastructure advancements.
