Patel Engineering (PEL) received a Letter of Acceptance (LOA) of a 525.36 crore contract with joint venture partner in Khammam City, Telangana. Their share in the contract is
267.93 crore.
PEL, in collaboration with its joint venture partner, was awarded the LOA by the Irrigation and CAD Department, Government of Telangana, for the construction of a reinforced cement concrete (RCC) protection wall, 8.5 km each along both the right and left banks of the Munneru River, stretching from Polepally to Prakashnagar in the city of Khammam, including construction of embankments of 2 km each on either side of the River Munneru near the Nagarjuna Sagar Left Bank Aqueduct in Khammam City, to further strengthen the project’s overall approach to improving the area’s irrigation infrastructure and water management systems.
The assigned project implies a key advancement in Telangana’s infrastructure and irrigation efforts. PEL’s involvement reinforces its leadership in infrastructure projects, developing with an aim to improve water management and support agriculture in Khammam District. The project has a 24-month completion deadline, which highlights PEL’s commitment to community welfare and improving environmental sustainability conjointly with the government and local stakeholders.
