Ambuja Cement through its CSR arm equipped 29 anganwadis with essential tools to detect early malnutrition which is a pressing issue in certain rural regions. Malnutrition in early childhood years can lead to developmental and cognitive setbacks in the long term. The equipments include infantometer, stadiometer, weight machine, manual tap and center scale, all necessary equipments to measure stages of malnutrition based on age. This will now help staff and visiting doctors to accurately track children’s health and take timely corrective action to improve it. The results have almost been immediate with 87 children identified and proper dietary relief being provided to them to help improve their condition.
