In Odisha, Shiva Cement has inaugurated its new Sundergarh cement plant, which cost US$185 million. According to Pragativadi News, the new factory has an overall capacity of 1.05Mt/yr as well as an additional 0.27Mt/yr of grinding capacity. JSW Cement, the parent firm, announced plans to raise its installed capacity to 25Mt/yr by 47 per cent in October 2022.
