According to ratings agency ICRA, the Indian cement industry’s sales volumes will increase by 18 to 20 per cent year on year in the 2022 financial year, surpassing pre-Covid-19 epidemic levels by 6 per cent. According to the Press Trust of India, gasoline and energy expenses increased by 31 per cent, raw materials costs increased by 12 per cent, and logistics costs increased by 5 per cent in the first nine months of the fiscal year 2022. This was compensated by a 5 per cent increase in net sales.
