Sierra Leone Cement Corporation (LEOCEM), a subsidiary of the HeidelbergCement Group, would begin production slag cement from June this year. Victor John Cole, Head of Laboratory at LEOCEM, spoke on the new development at the factory in Cline Town, Freetown during the company´s 20th anniversary celebration. LEOCEM is the sole producer in Sierra. The company has a 0.45 mta grinding plant processing imported clinker from Africa as well as Europe.
Al Jouf signs clinker supply agreement with Jordanian producer Saudi cement producer and trader Al Jouf Cement has signed a $7.5 million agreement with Jordan-based Al Rajhi Cement, under which the latter will supply clinker to Al Jouf Cement.
