PT Indocement Tunggal Prakarsa will be investing IDR 4 trillion (US$334.5 million) to support its new brownfield plant in Citeureup, Bogor. The project coded as Plant 14 is due for competition in 2015. The production line will have a capacity of 4.4 million tpa, the largest in Indonesia. Plant 14 project is expected to be most efficient cement plants in the country due to a baghouse filtration system. The plant is designed to produce high quality, low carbon cement that will significantly reduce CO2 emissions and energy and water consumption. The company is also increasing its pool of available skilled force by running training schemes in local villages. The company is training the local workers in areas such as ready mix concrete, building foundations, concrete casting and foundling and wall casting. The overall value of the plant is estimated at between IDR5.5 – 6.5 trillion and the funds will be sourced from company.Indian Cement Review, Magazine, India, December,2013,
