The CM Primary Shredder from Columbus McKinnon shreds whole OTR tires into clean shreds or chips. With a capacity of 20 tonnes of tires per hour, the company claims that it is the most productive primary shredder in the market today. These systems produce clean cut Tire Derived Fuel (TDF) for many of the leading cement and renewable energy companies throughout Europe and is organised through the French tire association known as Aliapur. CM has installed Primary Shredder and Single Speed Shredder for making a variety of tire chips sizes including: 38 mm, 50 mm, 75 mm and 100 mm TDF, as required by individual markets. Each of the single speed shredders is equipped with interchangeable classifiers to accommodate each of these chip sizes.
