JSW?? Chembur unit has a capacity of 2 X 60 cubic meters per hour and will meet the concrete requirements of construction projects in Central & South Mumbai.
The company has plans to expand its units to other locations as well. JSW Concrete plans to expand into the southern and western region of India, over the next five years. Over the next 12 months, the company will expand further with three more units in Mumbai Metropolitan Region (MMR) covering Navi Mumbai, Thane & Western line.
The motive behind this new business is to offer the entire range of building material products to its customers. Currently, the company?? cement products include cement, construction chemicals, and steel with concrete. The company announced that the RMC business will launch unique eco-friendly concrete that will be used in various commercial construction projects.
With this announcement, JSW will be amongst the few companies to offer complete building materials solutions under one roof.
According to the company, at present, RMC in India is estimated to be approximately USD 2.4 billion and is expected to grow at a CAGR of 9 percent till FY25.
With high concrete demand from large infrastructure projects, JSW Cement will focus on setting up these RMC units to cater to the concrete requirement of big infrastructure & commercial projects as well as housing projects.
