Qatari cement firm QNCC has decided to discount prices for cement produced by the company. QNCC says that the move is "part of its keenness to increase its participation in the local market and develop the construction sector in the country."
Loose regular cement will be sold at the factory for QR 230 a tonne (QR 250 earlier); resistant cement at QR 250 a tonne (QR 270 earlier); QR 11 for a bag of regular cement (QR 13), and QR12 for a bag of resistant cement (QR14 earlier).
The company also plans to extend the credit period that it offers from 30 days to 90 days.
