Kolkata-based Burnpur Cement is to launch a new product, Pozzolona Portland Cement (PPC). PPC will be made at the company’s Patratu plant. Production will begin by the 3rd week of April.
‘After the production of PPC, the capacity utilisation of the plant will be 100 per cent, and the turnover of the company will increase, which is a positive impact on the financial condition of the company,’ Burnpur said.
The Patratu plant in Jharkhand has a capacity of 800 t/d and is located in the Partary Industrial Area with easy access to power infrastructure and local limestone deposits. Burnpur also operates the Asansol plant in West Bengal with a capacity of 1,000 t/d.
