In a major development on the industrial front, the Chhattisgarh government has signed five Memoranda of Understanding (MoUs) worth Rs 3,401 crore with leading private companies to set up industries in the state.
The MoUs, which were signed in presence of Chief Minister Raman Singh, include setting up of a 3 MTPA cement plant at Baloda Bazar by NICO Industries Ltd, a solar PV panel & module manufacturing unit by Lenko Solar Energy Private Ltd, a 60 LTPA coal washery and railway siding unit by Ranjuinfacom Private ltd and a galvanizing plant at Acholi by RR Ispat. Speaking on the occasion, the Chief Minister said these units would generate employment for 2,400 youths in the state.
