During the 24th Architect of the Year Awards (AYA) in Bangalore, JK Cement felicitated excellence in architecture.
After the phenomenal success of the 23rd Architect of the Year Awards held in Lucknow, JK Cement Ltd hosted the much-awaited 24th edition of the Annual Architect of the Year Award in Bengaluru in the month of March 2016. Every year, JK Cement Ltd honours and felicitates outstanding talent in the architect community. The 11 recipients were selected out of the 153 entries through careful examination and scrutiny of the projects by an esteemed jury after intense debates and deliberations. The jury was chaired by Yadupati Singhania, Chairman and Managing Director, JK Cement Ltd.
A new award category that has been introduced this year is the ‘Student Architect’ Award while the revolving category for 24th AYA is ‘Hill Architecture’ which is a commendation award. Additionally, awards were given in other categories like Green Architecture, Architect of the Year and Young Architect Award while Commendation awards included Private Building, Public Building and Group Housing. In the State Architecture segment, the awards comprised State Architect and State Commendation award.
