On 27-28 April 2015, the first ever cement conference and workshop was held in Kuwait City, Kuwait, with more than 250 attendees. ASTM International hosted the conference and two-day training workshop on testing standards and quality control for the cement and concrete industry. It was structured to and held under the patronage of the Ministry of Public Works and endorsed by the Public Authority of Industry, Ministry of Defence Kuwait, and the Kuwait Society of Engineers.
The workshop included training, education and awareness of key ASTM standards that support all aspects of construction across Kuwait. "We are delighted to have held the first ASTM Cement Conference and Workshop in Kuwait," said Ecart.
