The cement prices have come down in Maharashtra from Rs 450 for a bag of 50-kg to Rs 300, while a truck of sand now costs Rs 15,000 which was attracting Rs 25,000 some three months ago. While real estate developers claimed that it would certainly accelerate their construction activities which slowed down earlier due to escalating prices of the material, the builders said the rates would not come down so easily.
