Pokot Cement plans to construct a power plant to supply its upcoming cement works in Kenya as well as the national grid. Of the 64 MW capacity, 50 MW will be sold to the national grid, according to a report. Cemtech, a subsidiary of India-based Sanghi Group, is finalizing plans for the project which has already been approved by all government agencies. Most of the machinery for the factory is currently being assembled in several countries before being moved to the project site.
