We are dealers of cement since 2000 and we are the authorized dealers for Lafarge cement in Raipur region and most parts of Chhattisgarh. Lafarge is the second most selling brand in Chhattisgarh. We also sell other brands. We are getting a satisfactory profit margin with Lafarge cement. We despatch 1,500-2,000 tonne cement per month on an average, which is a major achievement for us in Raipur market. Overall sales, 60 per cent is through our sub-dealers, 20 per cent builders and 20 per cent direct sales. Currently the market is going slow since government funds have not been released for many projects. The market is very bad after the severe rainy season last year and the farmers affected and since the government was not releasing funds, builders were not able to continue their projects. So there is no flow of work now in the market. Budget has no effect on dealers, though there can be some effect on the companies. Market can go up in the next couple of months, but competition also will go up along with the market growth because of the entry of new players.
