JK Lakshmi Cement’s Whole-Time Director Shailendra Chouksey has said that the commercial production from its manufacturing facility at Durg in Chhattisgarh will commence by the third quarter of the current fiscal. The cement plant is being set up on 600 acre at Ahiwara village involving an investment of Rs 1,500 crore. The plant capacity would be 2.7 MTPA. On completion this would take the overall production capacity to around 10 MTPA. Apart from the Durg plant, the company is setting up a 6.5 lakh tonne grinding unit at Surat.
