An American biotechnology start-up, bioMASON, has developed a biological process to manufacture low-carbon construction bricks. These bricks are manufactured using natural microorganisms and chemical processes. The bricks are formed in less than five days. The concept was named as the winner of the 2013 Postcode Lottery Green Challenge.
