UltraTech Cement said that its India-wide total production for March 2013 was 4 mt. Dispatches were 4.01 mt, the company said in a filing to the Bombay Stock Exchange. UltraTech, India’s largest cement company, recently announced that it had commissioned two new cement facilities as part of its ongoing expansion drive to raise cement capacity by 9.2 mta to 62 mta.

The recently-commissioned plants are a 3.3 mta brownfield clinker works at Rawan, Raipur, Chhattisgarh state and a 1.6 mta grinding unit in Hotgi, Solapur in Maharashtra.
