During the October-December quarter, JK Cement on February 4 posted a rise of about 25 per cent in net profit at Rs 54.38 crore on improved sales. The Kanpur-based cement maker had clocked Rs 43.52 crore net profit in the corresponding quarter last fiscal, it said in a filing to Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE).
Net sales of the company, which has 7.5 million tonne per annum cement-making capacity, rose to Rs. 687 crore during the quarter under review compared to Rs 615 crore a year ago. Total expenses also increased to Rs 585 crore from Rs 527 crore.
