Amrit Cement starts cement plant in Meghalaya

Amrit Cement India (ACIL) has announced the launch of its plant in North-Eastern market. ACIL possesses ambitious plan to achieve annual production of 5 million tonnes by 2015-16 through capacity addition in North-East and adding fresh capacities in Nepal and Bihar for which initiative has already been taken.

Amrit Cement is a recently commissioned 1 mtpa Jayantia Hills plant in Meghalaya and will be delivered mainly to North-Eastern market. The plant also possesses 10 mw captive power plant. Pradeep Bagla, Chairman of Amrit Cement said that the company has created a strong distribution network in the region with support from its new channel partners.

Amrit Cement has strategic advantages of dedicated logistic support. Its own transport fleet comprising of more than 300 trucks will ensure timely delivery and continuous availability in all parts of the region.
