UltraTech buys Gotan Limestone in Rajasthan

UltraTech Cement has acquired Rajasthan-based Gotan Lime Stone Khanij Udyog. With this acquisition, Gotan Limestone will become the wholly owned subsidiary of UltraTech cement.Recently, UltraTech Cement was planning to acquire JP Associates’ cement plant in Gujarat and Andhra Pradesh. The company was also planning to acquire limestone mine in Mozambique for about R1500Cr.UltraTech Cement is a part of the $24.5 billion diversified Indian conglomerate – Aditya Birla Group. The company along with its subsidiaries have an annual capacity of 52 million tonne of cement manufacturing.The company manufactures and markets Ordinary Portland Cement, Portland Slag Cement and Portland Pozzalana Cement, Ready Mix Concrete (RMC), White Cement, Building Products and offers Building Solutions.UltraTech has 11 integrated plants, 15 grinding units, five bulk terminals and 92 RMC plants – spanning India, UAE, Bahrain, Bangladesh and Sri Lanka.
