With the Chhattisgarh government decided to stick to its order of asking some cement companies to cease production citing environmental concerns, the stalemate for the cement industry in the state continues.Moreover, the government refuses to budge till cement companies comply with its order. Cement production in Chhattisgarh has hit a low as inventory depletes and production has nearly frozen.Chhattisgarh produces roughly five per cent of total cement production and current price of cement in Chhattisgarh is Rs 265 to Rs 275 in trade category.
