Tahamah cement project, Saudi Arabia has started test runs at its second production line. The project is run by the Southern Province Cement Company. The contract for the second production line was signed in December 2009 and the exercise is being supervised by Swiss consultant "PEG". The second line will comprise of an over with a production capacity of 5,000 clinker tons per day. The cement mill has a production capacity of 150 clinker tons per hour. With the starting of the second line, the production capacity of the factory has increased to 10,000 clinker tons per day. The total production capacity of the factory is now pegged at 11,000 tons per day. The Southern Province Cement Company operates three companies in Jazan, Bisha and Tahamah in Saudi Arabia. These facilities have a combined clinker production capacity of 24,500 tons per day following the start of the second production line with a production capacity of 19,000 clinker tons per day.
